All submissions to this Website become the property of UC San Diego and will not be returned. By submitting any content and/or material to this Website (including any text, message board content, photographs, graphics, video, audio, and/or logo) (hereinafter "Contribution") you are granting UC San Diego an irrevocable right to use reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to the Contribution worldwide and/ or to incorporate the Contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in the Contribution. You further agree that your submission constitutes your agreement that you grant such rights with the understanding that no compensation will be paid to you by UC San Diego. If you do not want to grant to UC San Diego the rights set out above, please do not submit a Contribution to the Website.

In addition, by submitting a Contribution, you represent and warrant that the Submission (including every element of it) is an original work and does not violate the rights of any third parties (including, but not limited to, such third parties’ copyright, trademark, and/or privacy rights). You also agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UC San Diego from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities, including without limitation any third party claim for copyright infringement or a violation of an individual’s right to privacy and/or publicity right (including reasonable attorneys' fees), arising out of or relating to your submissions. UC San Diego has final approval of any language or content that appears on its Website, and may not, for example, use submissions that contain language, items, or other content deemed inappropriate or offensive by UC San Diego in its sole discretion.

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. UC San Diego shall have no liability to you for any misuse by any third party of any Contribution that is distributed by it through the Website.
